The display of the Homtom S8 phone needs a special mention here as it is a bezel less display. The phone is equipped with 5.7 inches 1440 x 720 px resolution Sharp HD + IPS display which is regarded as the best in the current market. The display is made up of 2.5D curved glass which enhances the user experience. With 5.7 inch screen, it definitely stands out of other phones which normally comes with a 5.5-inch screen. The aspect ratio of 19:9 is pretty high where as the screen to body ratio is the best in the segment with a whopping figure of 83%.
Hardware and software:
The phone works on a powerful Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750T 64 bit processor which is used by almost all the powerful smartphones these days. The processor is supported by ARM Mali-T860 MP2,650 MHz Graphic processor which is again popular for its capability to play high-end games without hanging. As usual, this phone is also equipped with a 4GB RAM for performing tasks smoothly. It is backed up with 64 GB internal memory which can be extended up to 128 GB using micro SD card. The phone has a reasonable 3400 mAh Non-Removable (5V/2A) Lithium-Polymer battery. The manufacturer claims a stand by time of 5 days and talk time of 1 day. Some users may complain about the battery capacity as most of the current day smart phones are equipped at least with a 4000 mAh battery. However, that won’t be a major problem with this phone given that the phone is equipped with Fast Charging technology and also an in-built power saving mode.
