The flagship is known particularly for its competitive price and decent specifications. With the dual camera, commendable operating system, unparalleled processor come on the phone is quite interesting to use and see.
Design & Display
The design of the XIAOMI Mi A1 Phablet has been upgraded by the company. So if you compare this model from any of the redmi devices launched by xiaomi so far, you would find this one to be slightly different and straightforward looks. Available in rose gold, black, Lava Red, and gold colors, we have received positive reviews for all the versions and colors.
The front look of the smartphone comprises of 2.5 D curved Gorilla Glass which gives a premium edge to the smartphone. The rounded corners let the smartphone comfortably sit in your palm.
It has 7.3 mm side profile for a slimmer appearance that makes it feel great to hold in hand. However, the all Metal body makes the phone slightly more slippery because of which you need to be extra cautious while handling it.In any case, you can go for the XIAOMI Mi A1 mobile cover that can provide a greater grip an accidental breakage of the phone. Xiaomi has paid more attention to overheating of the smartphones. Hence, it has integrated pyrolytic graphite sheets for quick heat radiation and temperature decrement of up to 2 degrees an instant basis.
The Android buttons are located just underneath the screen off the smartphone. You can access volume and power button with a good tactile feel through your thumb and forefinger. The hybrid dual sim tray located on the left side is accompanied by USB type C port, 3.5 mm audio jack and a separate speaker grill which produces decent noise on watching videos and playing games.
The fingerprint reader sits at the back of XIAOMI Mi A1. The dual cameras have a slight protrusion and have dual tone flash accompanied. A tiny MI logo is decorated at the back of the phone where are the front has no marks of any brand or logo design
All in all, the feel and look of the XIAOMI Mi A1 is much better than the ones that have been reviewed so far. The neat appearance and appropriate placement of buttons, cameras and speaker grille give an impressive look to the phone. It would not be wrong to say that xiaomi has someone copied Vivo smartphone models this time..
Software & Hardware
The heavily marketed smartphone is powered by Google Android operating system. With more than 86.1% smartphones are running on the Android, so this will give you an idea how much users are familiar with the Android. On the other hand, Mi A1 is running on the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor that is definitely going to meet the user requirement just like MI Max 2 and redmi Note 4 Did. The SOC is clocked at 2 gigahertz processor that has been coupled with 4 GB RAM. The overall 64GB internal storage is possibly expandable through the mountain of an external memory card. Just like others xiaomi devices, this device lets you choose either dual sim or a combination of single sim and a Nano SD card.
Dual Rear Camera
One of the most commendable features of the XIAOMI Mi A1 is the dual camera located at the back of the smartphone. Mi A1 has the dual rear camera which is exactly placed like antenna lines in iPhone 7 series. With dual megapixel cameras that have Wide Angle lens and telephoto lens aperture, you cannot expect more beautiful pictures and what this device can click. Also, there is a 5-megapixel front camera with F / 2.0 aperture entertaining beautification modes. So when you click your selfie through the mobile phone, you can expect them to be more beautiful than what your face exactly looks at that particular moment. The dual camera lenses brag of 2x optical zoom which has a capacity to give blurry background just like a DSLR camera can. I must say that Mi A1 has done a great work on the Dual camera and brings the best you can get under this budget.
The weight of the XIAOMI Mi A1 is 165 gram with a non-removable 3080 MaH battery power. The battery does a great job it can last for 36 hours on 4G connectivity. Which is quite impressive. Another thing is it also comes with the hybrid charger which charges it quick.
We talk to portrait shots that clearly defined the ages of the pictures. However, do not over blur the background as it can spoil the effect. The bokeh effect did a great job find the natural colors of the picture was visible in absence of adequate light. We did not integrate any manual effort and yet the pictures came out to be quite appreciable.
The autofocus of the camera automatically adjusts in different light conditions. It comes with face detection and phase detection which locks the focus within a fraction of seconds. We were able to shoot a couple of landscape with great sharpness and detail. In fact, the click pictures had a good amount of texture with lower noise.
In case of night time shot, we could see extensive noises in the pictures. The autofocus of the camera was working completely well and the low light enhancement feature could be accompanied to make a difference in the click pictures.
Talking about the other things like RAM, ROM, & Processor perform decently. You won’t feel any lagging while performing multitasking and all. You can also expand the ROM with the help of the external memory card so storage will not be an issue. Well, this is all from our side.
