With the dust from the rumor about this phone’s memory capacity having just started to settle, another leak has surfaced. The rumor that is on now rounds hints towards an alleged presence of Iris scanning technology in the aforementioned MI 6. A picture posted by a netizen on Chinese twitter, Weibo, shows the front panel of Xiaomi MI 6. The front panel from the picture has a relatively large elliptical hole along with those for the speaker and the sensor. And it might just be the place where the Iris Scanner would sit! This could be a possibility considering the fact that this is the flagship of Xiaomi for this year and if it is so, it is going to be one of the best android budget phones of this year.

Although this flagship device will not be able to take the name as the first mobile to sport an Iris scanner because Samsung has already incorporated one in Galaxy Note 7. But, it will still be a great feature which could potentially make MI 6 the best buy of this year. Further, it would help the Chinese tech giant to push Samsung Galaxy S8 off the racks and seal its place in the market. But,  don’t let it get you as this is just a rumor and nothing is confirmed.

Another leak of MI6 that has set off a rumor suggests that the device may have an IP67 level of protection. This comes from a picture showing a thicker sim slot of MI 6 in comparison with that of its predecessor.

It may come in as joy for all those butter fingers out there as it means that the device will survive a drop into a bathtub or a toilet. But beware; it is not advisable to test it unless you don’t hate that after stench. By any way of recognition, this means that there is a chance for the manufacturers to weed out the good old 3.5mm audio jack like Apple, HTC, etc. to make way for better water resistance and the Bluetooth ear buds. They may be fancy, alas! They cost $101. Again this is only a gossip and the truth will emerge only when the beans spilt.

That is it, for now, folks. But stay alert; stay tuned; the rumor mill might just churn out more.
